MEMPHIS - Russian Maria Sharapova won again with extreme ease in the Memphis tournament. On the evening of Wednesday, the head of key number 1 spot beat Bethanie Mattek-Sands by 2 sets to 0, with a double 6 / 1, in just 58 minutes.
As in the first round when they beat Shenay Perry, Sharapova advanced in less than an hour and lost only two games. Now, the Russian will duel with Britain's Elena Baltacha, who spent by Canadian Valerie Tetreault, by 2 to 0, with a double 6 / 4.
