West Brom are set to agree a £2.7million fee with Benfica to sign Portugal international striker Ariza Makakula.
The 27-year-old striker is expected to travel for talks over personal terms next week with Baggies boss Tony Mowbray desperate to add more firepower to his struggling attack.
Reports in Portugal claim the two clubs are close to agreeing the fee for the Kinshasa-born hitman who has scored one goal in four appearances for his adopted country.
Makakula cost Benfica 3.5million euros a year ago and the Lisbon club are looking to recoup as much of that fee as they can, with 3million euros said to be the likely settlement.
