{mosimage}9/1/2009 Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has felt the need to shield his Chelsea counterpart Luiz Felipe Scolari from press criticism ahead of Sunday's big game. Luiz Felipe Scolari recently dismissed talk that he is under pressure after a desperate run of results at home, but the English press are already readying the poison arrows should the Blues falter at Old Trafford on Sunday. It is up for debate whether Ferguson was engaging in his trademark mind-games when he dismissed the notion that the Brazil and Portugal manager is not up for the job, but it would be hard to fault him for talking him up opposite number. "Scolari has fantastic experience, which should stand him in good stead coming into any league in the world," the Red Devils boss was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. "He has managed Brazil and Portugal and no matter where you get your experience it is still vital. "People are looking at Nigel Clough (new Derby manager) and saying he has not managed in the league but 10 years at Burton is as good experience as you are ever going to get. "It allows you to go down the road and know which door to knock on. "I don't think there has been much change in the Chelsea team other than the swing in terms of home and away form. "They are still consistent, they are still very difficult to play against and they still have very good players." Manchester United and Chelsea square off at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon in a game that could very well prove decisive in the title race.
