What are they?

Testicular tumors are rare tumors and occur in 2-3 individuals per 100 thousand. Its highest incidence is in young adults aged 15 to 35 years, which is the phase of increased sexual activity and inícion the professional.

What is it?

Genetic factors are related to the development of testicular tumors, as may occur familial cases (siblings, for example).

Injuries are often cited as possible generators of testicular tumors. What is believed is that the trauma calls attention to the testicular tumor.

What is it? 

The bladder tumor is a neoplasm that in 90% of cases, arises from the mucosa, ie, the bladder urothelium. Also called a transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder, is 6.2% of all tumors malignant tumors.

What is it? 

It is a persistent erection (more than 4 hours), often painful, triggered by sexual activity. The name comes from priapism Greek mythology in which Priapus, the son of Aphrodite, was known for his long and straight talk. It is a urologic emergency! 

Its occurrence is low: 1.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants per year. In men over 40 years, the incidence rises to 2.9 per 100,000 inhabitants per year.

What is it? 

It is the infection by bacterial penetration reaches one or two kidneys. Usually patients report pain in the lumbar region (below the last rib on the back), high fever, chills, burning urination, sensation of burning urine and darker urine. Nausea and vomiting accompany the picture. 

How do you get? 

The germ can reach the kidney by blood or up the urethra into the bladder and the ureter to the kidney. 

When there is some malformation of the urinary tract or urine around the kidney to the bladder (vesico-ureteral reflux) or kidney stone or other obstruction, pyelonephritis has favorable conditions to settle. The germs are the most common gram-negative.

What is it? 

Orchitis is an inflammation or infection involving the testis. 

Epididymitis is inflammation or infection of the epididymis (tubular organ located on each testicle). 

Generally, the two organs are involved, hence the name orchiepididimitis (OE). How do you get? 

The OE can be caused by numerous bacteria or viruses. The most common cause of orchitis is mumps virus (mumps). Of the men who develop mumps after puberty, 15 to 25% may have orchitis during the course of the disease. 
 The OE may be due to prostate sexually transmitted infections such as gonorrhea and chlamydia.
