Brazilian culture is highlighted in the first quarter of 2009
Various cultural activities were conducted between January and March 2009, the capital of Portugal. Some of the events organized by Embassy of Brazil in Lisbon were musical concerts, exhibitions, conferences, exhibitions and launches literary cinema. The program strengthens ties historians among the two countries.
Some of these events were:
January 13 - Inauguration of exhibition of artists Azorean "Father Antonio Vieiranos Azores", integrated in the 4th Centenary Celebrations of the Birth of Father Antonio Vieira in Space "Fernando Pessoa" Independence Palace, Lisbon. January 14 - IV Conference Cycle Science in the Tropics "Images, People and Hierarchies in Colonial Empire, 1770-1808" with Prof.. Dr. Ronald Raminelli, Fluminense Federal University in Overseas Historical Archive, Lisbon. January 29 - Launch of Anthology of Poetry "Days of Love: A poem for each day of the year" with new poems by Brazilian and Portuguese authors, Ministry Publisher of Books, the Mall at FNAC Colombo, Lisbon. February 4 - Congresso Luso-african-Brazilian, University of Minho in Braga, with the participation of many Brazilian university professors. February 6 - Presentation of "Tales of Brazil's National Orchestra of Porto, to inaugurate the two months (February and March) in which Brazil was the theme at room Suggia the Casa da Musica in Porto. February 7 - Opening of the exhibition "Safe Harbor, The Discovery Coast, Old Town Hall in the County, Viana do Castelo. February 13 - Presentation "Eye to Eye" from Ancient, and as a guest and J. Simone Pedro Pais, Campo Pequeno, Lisbon. February 16 - A Meeting in London Brand new Brazilian Literature of the Editorial Caminho. Reception of Brazilian authors Daniel Galera - SP (Hands Horse), Almicar Bettega - RS (sides of the circle) and John Paul Cuenca - RJ (O Dia Mastroianni) at the Embassy of Brazil, Lisbon. The books were presented separately: 15.02 - Dolce Vita Coimbra Livraria Bertrand; 17/02 - Fernando Pessoa; 18.02 - Bertrand Amoreiras, and 19.02 - Bertrand Vasco da Gama. February 17 - Release Cycle "Carnival with Carmen Miranda," to commemorate the centenary of birth, presenting the short film "Carmen Miranda" (1969) Maria Guadalupe and "The Gang's All Here / Symphony of the Stars" ( 1942) of Busby Berkery in Portuguese Cinematheque 18/02 - "Copacabana" (1947) Alfred Green, and 02.21 - Display of five films, including "Greenwich Village" (Serenata Bohemia) (1944) Walter Lang. February 18 - Presentation of the album "Embroidery" singer, composer and instrumentalist carioca Rodrigo Maranhao, in the Great Cultural Centre of Belem, Lisbon. February 22 - Presentation of the Brazilian singer Mallu Magalhaes, Lisbon February 25 - Concert of Brazilian guitarist Mucio Sa, part of Guitarmania 2009 - IV International Guitar Competition, Palacio Foz, Lisbon. 27 and February 28 - Presentation of the Brazilian singer Maria Bethania, the Coliseum in Lisbon. March 2 - Presence of actress Malu Mader in Fantasporto - Fantastic Film Festival of Porto, in the projection of the film "Bellini and the Devil," based on the book of his own. 4-6 March - Expolingua Portugal - Portuguese 19 Hall of Languages and Cultures at the Congress Center of Lisbon. Guest of Honour: the Portuguese language and Lusophone. March 5 - Shows collective "Everyday Splendor," with the presence of Brazilian artists Alcides Baião and Anna Segall, Ceuarte in Gallery, Lisbon. March 6 - Presentation "Friend's House" by Simone and Zelia Duncan, Campo Pequeno, Lisbon. March 11 to April 5 - 2nd Biennial Lusophone Cultures, Cultural Center of Malaposta, Maynooth. March 12 - Music of Another World - Forro without prejudice, with Prof. Edy (Casa Brazil's) voice and percussion drums and steak-vocals and guitar, Chapito, Lisbon. March 17 - Launch of "Swan of Africa" Henry Levy, organized by the Publishing Books Silk and presentation of the dancer-choreographer Beatriz Fernandes (Bahia) accompanied by percussionists Kaiyma Paulo (Sao Paulo) and Camane (Luanda), the Restaurant Bar-Casa da Morna, Lisbon. March 22 - Presentation of the Brazilian artist Lenin, in the Aula Magna, Lisbon. March 23 - Assembly of the Press - 6th International Film Festival Independent - Indie LISBOA'09, with the participation of Brazilian films in the Magnolia Cafe Film London, Ontario. (04/15/2009)
